    Sterling Tendril

Great line, works very well with the unspeakable ZigZag... Not as static as f.e. Samson Vortex though ;)

Re-thinking the need for a pulley saver or friction-less tie in point.

Btw, I am personally back on a Ring-Ring Saver (or kind of a Thimble Saver) for the last 1,5 years know, and love it. The RE pulley mentioned above is way to big for every day use, in terms of retrieval.

Re-thinking the need for a pulley saver or friction-less tie in point.

Yes, thats what I think as well. I wish there was a Pinto or even better an ART Cocoon Pulley with a one way sheave (thats what Rock Exotica calls it on their unfortunately not longer manufactured Omni Block 2" with it), I even contacted ART with this idea some time ago but with no reply. Maybe...

Would this biner be legal in comps?

Thats what I tried to say! :)

    Mixed cover 14mm

Paul, you'll find such a rope in every manufacturers assortment who does ropes for yacht racing. I not totally sure, but there might be even a 14mm Ocean Polyester as you wished, did you search for it or ask? Even so such manufacturers offer just covers or cores. You choose exactly what you...

    Jep, its a patent issue...

Would this biner be legal in comps?

Oh, I meant to not comment on the fact we made it to have the same weekend for the comps, though I communicated our date in autumn already... But thats really off topic know!

Would this biner be legal in comps?

Thanks Mark, will be Poland I think. Unfortunately the Swiss and Austrian Comps are on the same weekend! I dare not to comment that further... ;)

You want one? Send me a pm or mail if you like.

Would this biner be legal in comps?

Ouch, so the Passo 2 fails also, thanks! Mark, you think the same about the BD Magnetron, not beeing suited for TreeClimbing & Comps? Its gate locking mechanism is in the strongest position when locked, the opposite of the springs in the gate of the Passo.

    ABR Ultra Sling

So you guys splice a locking brummel and another brummel behind it so you have 3 "crossings" of the rope at every splice? Doea it make a big difference to a "normal" locking brummel? I use something similar for hanging my hammocks. Its like a snake anchor with a 4mm Dyneema line and the smallest...

    Reduction Cuts

I tend to disagree. :) There is not much sense in trying to protect whats going to die anyway, the small "triangel" of branch wood inside the branch collar (sorry, dont really know he exact english terms). Just avoid to hurt stem wood, or wood inside the branch collar. The smallest diameter...

Nice idea, although I dont like the loading of the biner against the stem in the picture :)

    Acronyms

The acronyms are one thing, the meaning of them another one. Writing out the terms will not clear the confusion about the meanings. Doubled Rope is a confusing and somehow misleading term, thats what the other "acronyms" thread is about. DdRT is a fomr of SRT, and thats not just a problem of the...

    4th generation slingshot tubing connectors...

I changed the rubber on my "old" Big shot head and clearly notice a loss of power as well. So the problem is not the Head, but the rubber.

    Blakes hitch options???

Ahh, (k)not the Bowline again! :) I learned it with Bowline as well, but much prefer the Clove Hitch.

    Treestuff no longer carrying globe3000?

Do you really mind for that 18 bucks so much? Sorry for not answering your question. I would take almost any Polyamid or Polyester rope that fits by the way, it doesnt have to be Dyneema.

    Blakes hitch options???

I prefer a Clove Hitch in this system, nice adjustability and very fast.

    Sequoia 1.1 Ideas

@ Waldo: No, not really. And even if the stitching rips the screw link would be still inside the webbing. @ Moss: Shipping a harness from Europe to the US would be a little to much for this mod I think... Thanks! Luckily I have comfortable loops on my sequoia already, the originals are really...
