Spliced or stitched will do just fine. I take it a step further and use tape so my hitch cord can't work its away around the biner. The new Rino biner would do the same.
Basic set up. I put the tether on the left of the pulley inside the eye and eye(i didn't like how the climbing line rubbed the abs tether with a fixed sheave pulley). The eye and eye traps it inside. The swing gate pulley doesn't allow contact with the climbing line.
Also i feel its important...
personally with the abr tether i like this pulley:

Here is my video of the Rig and basil anchor system. The reason i post it is to show the way i terminate the line after it exits the rig. Doing it this way allows it to be released even if the line slipped or something.
Basil anchor with rig
Sorry the sounds stinks. I taped it on a job...
I''m looking for a manual on proper bucket truck set up for a safety meeting topic. I've heard it say that you shouldn't have your wheels off the ground, but then its not always possible to get level. So which is more important getting it level or keeping all wheels on the ground?
Also does...
Def not any faster. The rig is the best basil anchor rescue able system. No doubt in my mind. It is so easy to set up i use it every time. The smaller trees it allows me to only use the amount of rope the tree requires. For large trees it enables my ground crew to add rope if i'm able to do...
Got to run the 150 this weekend. Man did i like it for a little saw. I used it to brush out a removal. Could hardly tell it was there. This one had a 12" bar. I'd drop it to a 10 or 8. I went into it with very low expectations. It really blew me away. Great pruning saw.
I have a 2:1 lanyard. If you find my YouTube page I highlight it there. I've even slicked it up some more with the shizll tenders. I'll try and post it when I'm at a computer
