    Crane Operator Certification

I wouldn't think that a cert that was only good to 75 ton would be recognized in ontario as anything more than our 15ton license.

    Crane Operator Certification

If you have your 15 ton it's not much harder to get your 339a, you'll have to find a conventional crane to run for the practical, and the load chart exam will have questions on a conventional crane as well. Maybe talk to durham college they may have an upgrade course.

    Elliott cranes

Elliott boom trucks: The good: -They're cheap -They have a good chart The bad!: -They're cheap -The dealer support really really sucks in Ontario -They use a single stage pump- this really sucks for operating unless you're only a one lever kinda operator -they are riddled with electrical...

    Pics of your bucket trucks.

Yes, I built the frame from the lift back and mounted the chipper. Eloquip did all of the aluminum body. The chipper engine powers the lift so you don't run the truck engine all day long at an idle.

Homemade chipper boxes: Good way to VENT?

I'm just guessing that the tip of your chipper chute is closer to the box on your new truck than it is on your pickup and that's the difference.

    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

He should have a mid-span chart, and maybe a fully retracted chart. Not to mention he could set the lmi for the outrigger length.

    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

Check your chart notes, could be caused by the stowed jib, or the LMI could be programed for the reel.

    CRANE!! AM I DREAMING?

If the site allows it try to pick over the rear, I know this isn't possible with every setup but you will feel more solid and less likely to lift an outrigger.

    Large back yard elm removal

Ya I hate those kinda neighbours, had one a couple of years ago call bylaw on me, gave me a parking ticket before we realized he was there, apparently you can't park within 10' of a driveway within the city limits. Kinda tough when your truck+trailer is 70' long and you park in the largest spot...
