    Best battery blower?

Greg, that was very kind of you to do! And helpful.

    Best battery blower?

Dang I was expecting less power but not such low run times! Guess I’ll need a lot of batteries.

    Best battery blower?

I regretted buying the Stihl battery top handle… wish I had invested in the husqvarna battery saw/battery system instead. Before making another mistake, thought I’d see if anyone here has had good experiences with any battery blowers… bonus if the batteries can be used for other tools as well.

Just picked one of these up for easy on/off chainsaw stowage... Works ok for the price. Have wondered about other application. Do those of you using these for positioning on rope, feel that the edges/ bend radius of the hook are gentle enough on your climb line?

Balancing and tip tying [seeing possibilities]

@Jehinten understood, I was hoping to get a variety of different ideas and perspectives and I'm happy that I have! Not every approach works in every situation, and I wouldn't attempt some techniques that some of you guys probably use every day. What you described sounds cool but probably falls...

Daniel, could you explain why you find it safer to leave brush on tips? ( I can see why you might like to leave them longer I think)

Had to Google second class levers, but I think I see what you're saying... Sounds great if you are able to reliably "balance-ish" tie

Treebing, thank you for taking the time to clarify this! I like the way you think.

Good call @treebing. Do you like to have the ability to lift to pretension tip tied branches, or do you also lift them off of the stub after the cut is made? BTW the rig n wrench looks like an amazing tool!

@Daniel... Thanks for for the tips. Seems obvious, but paying more attention to rope angle first, then combining that with visualization of how piece will swing would probably help. That video was brutal. Seems like the hinge snapping late was a big part of the problem... Combined with the steep...

Awesome ideas all... @colb yes i've found myself cutting without the lanyard for a speedy swing away... Possibly a sign that a different approach could give more control.

@RBJtree hadn't thought of that, makes a lot of sense!

Thank you @Sep and @RBJtree! RBJ, what static knot would you use for this purpose? thinking maybe a Blakes onto the main line would make tying and adjusting the lengths easier?

Thank you ATH... solid advice. I'll try and get ground support more involved in this kind of situation. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to have really experienced pros on the jobsite to help see it right, sometimes not; either way a different perspective is super helpful!

Hi Treebuzz! Want to start with a huge thank you to the many very talented tree workers who post here. I have only a couple years experience in the industry and this site has been an enormous help, especially in helping me learn to work SRT. Nothing compares to in person mentorship but I'm...
