Compact Bulldog Bone
Sorry mate, haven’t been on here in a while. I managed to drop my old bone about 40’ out of a tree on to concrete and bent the upper arms, otherwise I would’ve carried on using it - was working absolutely fine on vortex after 3 years, any skinnier rope would’ve needed a new spine. Ideally I'd like to have it so that it couldn't flop forward and contact the rope as in the last picture, but I exhausted my fabrication skills at 'drilling an existing hole slightly bigger'....- skello

On the subject of tending points.....I've been wondering about the best way to tend the stubby bone - the upper arm is too stubby to accomodate the D ring I was used to on the standard bone. It was super smooth to start with but now the rope's fluffed up some it's getting to be a bit of a squeeze putting the bone on and off the line. I had it on my chest harness, and then one time when I unclipped it it stayed on the bone, so I thought i'd leave it on there and try it like that.... but you're definitely right about not keeping clips on the bone - lesson learned.- skello
