No, but it would probably fit. I just do a girth hitch and three half-hitches with the last one about 1/4" from the end of the climb line without the splice. Nice and slender! The other nice thing about the CE version is that if it ends up orienting sideways, it is made to be strong that way.
I have both and I have come to prefer the CE version for a canopy anchor. This is mostly because I often use a rope that is just long enough for each leg to reach the ground, meaning I have to pull the rope through the Quickie with my throwline, out of reach, and the bigger opening of the CE...
It's not just "city folks" who have weird issues with trees, and there are lots of people who live in cities who love trees and go too far in the other direction to protect them. It's more of a mindset than a matter of where people live.
The impact works without having to do anything else. It's because of the speed and hammering of the driver. It's reverse thread if I remember right. A regular drill won't work as well as an impact
