    i know people who don‘t and will only use knots. strength (splice) and speed … for heavier pieces i use the slickpin-shackle by cmi.

    i do it all the time and i always make sure that the spine is loaded. might not be 100% perfect but it is fast.

    also hit my falteimer because i cut off one corner of one alder. very glad that this was the only thing that got smashed.

    we removed some larger poplars and alder with alot of backlean (to a house). 2:1 pulled with the 1,8t petrol winch worked fine but i would have liked a proper forestry winch.

    maybe find someone who is into editing. my brother is studying film and i find it quite amazing what he is able to do with it.

    i lost the little strap that holds the two buckles together. that made it very easy to adjust and it held just fine.

    the wiring is thicker so they can handle the needed output of the newer saws, they have been out since a while.

    good eye :) that is the control side of a doublewhip with a downrigger and ring that i had already setup for the next piece. in the picture we were just picking stuff up with the loader and cutting without rigging. for the rigged piece i was in a position where the lines were not crossing.
