Those of you who sell a bit of growth regulator drenches, how do you price the different growth rates of trees? Lost my ass on a category f drench today at 1500ml @$5 an inch (I was blanket pricing). Thanks!

An ex big box green manager told me they charged $15-$25 / DBH Inch

I have generally been much cheaper unless it’s an individual tree and I have to make the trip worth while. But I do need to start raising my prices significantly!

If I’m doing multiple other services on the same property like pruning, etc., I’ll usually throw in a good deal for the growth regulator, especially if the bottle has already paid for itself a couple times over.

Anybody else notice the generic option available at arbsession? They must’ve gone through the process to include trees. I think it was always available, but only labeled for turf.

$299 vs $425

interesting what you do. never heard of that beeing done around here.
I would think that in such a dense and established environment, like what I picture in much of Deutschland, you would be doing this as a fairly common practice. It's a really great option for trees in very limited spaces that are running out of good pruning options or even just if a customer wants to save money on pruning by extending the pruning intervals a bit.

some people would love it, top it first and than growth regulator haha but it might just be against some law idk.

I’m charging $15-$20 per inch DBH. In the northern Midwest a growth regulator is active in our trees for 3 years. I often explain that to my clients as a selling point. So a 20” DBH tree at $15/in is $300 which would equate to $100/year.
