Ok, so is he rolling back tariffs or giving us $2000 tariff rebates? Or both? And is there an income limit for tariff rebates? Will the rebate be taxable income? If I spent an extra $7,000 this year because of tariffs do I get more back than someone who paid an extra $70? Will this be like the covid stimulus check and cause inflation? Lol. What a mess.

The math doesn't even work. He has promised away so much more money than the tariffs could ever bring in. Mess is a massive understatement; this is the descent into chaos.
 
Are tariffs just another tax on American consumers?

Americans buying foreign goods pay into the US Gov't piggybank to be be used for _______ (hopefully feeding, clothing, and healing American citizens).
 
Locally , I see the county/community blog site began posting messages like "is this your dog", "found two sweet dogs, are these yours?. " etc., and now I see that all the kennels are full to capacity. I don't know the exact numbers, but would guess that grocery prices have approx. doubled since 2020 (I know dog food has), and people are having to make difficult choices.

Edit: So I looked it up and AI says 27% rise in grocery prices since 2020
