Covid Close To You

Take it easy for sure. There are some interesting stats coming out with long COVID, and I don’t have the sources on hand. I find them credible personally.. It’s appearing that more times you get this nasty bug the higher the risk of long COVID.
My poor sister has had Covid three times now, each time she has it, it is worse than the time before. She now has long Covid as well, and has been dealing with some pretty serious side effects for probably about six months now.

She has been thoroughly vaccinated, all the boosters and such, and unfortunately it has not made any difference for her, she still managed to catch Covid three times. This last time she had it, she was in the hospital two or three times.

My best to her! That really blows!

Thank you. It really does! She had no risk factors whatsoever either, she is about 30 years old, used to run half marathons for fun, eats a far healthier diet than I ever will, and has two very young children at home to care for full-time.

Since the usual doctors have failed maybe she should contact one of the frontline doctors and nurses who are more knowledgeable about patients with long covid, flccc.

I have not said anything about what doctors she may or may not have seen. Nor do I plan to get into that on a public forum. All I will say is that she has seen plenty of doctors and continues to do so.

Sister in Spain in the tour guide business who had a head cold or other covid related sickness recently that hit her hard, and was better in a week. I feel very badly for those who are still dealing with this.

Another older sister has been living in a nursing home now since 2019 because she always did what her doctors said and as a result one med. killed her kidneys so she has to go to dialysis and she can't walk. She's only 69 and they are testing her and the others all the time. I advised her not to get the "bi-valent" shots for obvious reasons.

I've encountered a rash of covid infections in my neighbours and customers lately. For some it's the first time since the onset of the pandemic. No one I've talked to has had extreme symptoms. Most were quite similar to mine. Still riding that energy ramp. doh. residual cough sensitivity, cold air dry air changes etc. Can't convince my self about chest discomfort. But I ain't gonna run or pump iron for a while that's for g___damn sure! Self preservation!

So sorry to hear. Hope she has a full recovery soon.

Did my first climb today since getting sick. Still low energy. Sucks.

My wife gave some corroboration to the theory that each time you get Covid it takes a little more out of you. She's got an interest in reading medical publications. When I mentioned it to her she said what, you didn't know about that?

I wasn't permanently weakened with a bout a couple months ago. Sometimes staying healthy, losing weight when needed are not easy things to do. I got the initial two shots of Moderna but determined not to get any more once the vaccine injury reports started coming in with the very poor quality control. Also the "new" ones, bi-valent, are no better and I believe it would be the worst thing for my health and safety to get any more after having natural immunity you get when recovered from the flu or other corona virus. Just too experimental, poor quality control lacking safely studies. I've taken far too much risk in my business life, not going to do so with my health, one of my few good assets.

One thing that made me sit up and take notice was anywhere from 7 to 15x the risk of myocarditis from Covid than from vaccine. Entirety of studies of millions of subjects since the start of Covid. You don't dick around with healing your heart. I used to think, apart from full death system failure, scar tissue in the lungs was the greatest risk. Gotta breathe kind of situation. Need your heart too! I'm in the 3 month club where my body gets 3 months of immune response from getting sick. That's neglecting I hope I'm not in the long covid effed up club.

The fall wave is upon us but the hospital overload is partially due to the other respiratory virus affecting kids.
