Pouring rain the whole time of course. Must be a nice gig Dillion has sitting in his heated and A/C’d glass cab..
*Dillions actually one of my best friends if you can’t tell, real piece of shit that guy.
I figured out how to double line speed with a pulley the other day…All these tracked lifts and cranes are so cool. Meanwhile, I spent all day climbing up and down a hillside all day winching brush. Not exactly the glory work!![]()
Unfortunately, doubling the line speed usually involves pulling harder.I figured out how to double line speed with a pulley the other day…
Whatever gets it done! I prefer to keep my overhead low and do it like you, at least for now.All these tracked lifts and cranes are so cool. Meanwhile, I spent all day climbing up and down a hillside all day winching brush. Not exactly the glory work!![]()
Exactly that yes, it’s foolproof. I prefer rope slings but at a larger company like this with a language barrier between myself and some of the climbers I use the slings that I don’t have to explain how to use. I also have a set of chain slings that I sometimes like to throw on.Dan , what type of rigging slings are hanging from the hook of the track crane the climber is setting? Round slings and a shackle?

15,000lb winch…Unfortunately, doubling the line speed usually involves pulling harder.
15,000lb winch…
Hell yeah…
Nah, I like it. I think it’s good stewardship. It could just lie and rot. Or you could give it another life. Utilize it and not waste. Rock on.Most of this will probably be held over the dump trailer or bin with forklift, cut into rounds, and delivered as camping firewood unsplit since it's smallish. I guess this is kinda the wrong forum for this...
