Well you know, you got to use the crane you have. I've been looking at getting a smaller crane. That’s a big crane, especially for a River Birch!
Yeah, I thought is was a bit over kill myself. That’s a big crane, especially for a River Birch!
Oh yes, any excuse to use a crane is a good one. We haven’t bought one yet, but we are sure looking forward to it!I would probably have just taken it down with my bucket truck except there was a bunch of brick work and a very nice manicured lawn in the front. Zero impact from the crane. Plus part of the fun of all this is using your crane.
We only used ours 3 days last week. We'll keep trying to come up with reasons to use it.Oh yes, any excuse to use a crane is a good one. We haven’t bought one yet, but we are sure looking forward to it!
One if the great things about being the boss is you get to call the shots. I hate using my bucket so I’m always coming up with reasons why we’re better off climbing it.We only used ours 3 days last week. We'll keep trying to come up with reasons to use it.
I used to use my bucket maybe once a month the first 2 years I bought it. Now, I truly don't remember when I used it the last time. I have to run it every few weeks just to warm it up. I'll have to just sell it one day. one day if i can't climb anymore, i'll buy a track lift. One if the great things about being the boss is you get to call the shots. I don't understand what exactly happened there. Did the tree just sway a lot because the top wasn't allowed to freefall? Also, first time a new groundie has sent me for a ride by not letting a top run.
Yes, the groundman stopped it abruptly rather than gradually. It shockloads the rigging and stem. Can be quite a violent shake.I don't understand what exactly happened there. Did the tree just sway a lot because the top wasn't allowed to freefall?
