Riggs doesn't seem to be going to post this, so I'm starting it. (If I missed it, please tell me and I will delete).

I'm not making any rules, just post some GOOD pictures of 2011.

I haven't seen all of our pictures from 2011 yet, but I think this one shows a lot. MattyD caught it on camera. We had a huge silver maple to remove. Over wires, a historic wall, some dogwoods and a pipe that supplied water to a historic grist mill.

My lowering point was choosen for all the limbs over the electric wires.

Since I had set up several blocks to deal with the smaller diameter at the top rigging point, I felt good about taking some logs as well.

Here is a log at an action moment. I just liked how it showed a lot in the picture at one time.

Cool pic. Why are you wearing a dinosaur costume in the pic, though?!? To scare the tree??

Aren't you from Rhode Island Banjo? You should recognize that....

My girlfriend's in New Zealand to take pictures for 3 months. So far this is the best one. More to come no doubt.

I guess for the same reason most people get tattoos and stuff, to make yourself look different or stand out from the rest.

I usually just wear that helmet on tree removals.

I've always been the clean cut guy with no tattoos or peircings and simple haircut.

Guess I play dress up when it comes to tree removals.

I bet if you saw me someday working or at a climbing competition with that helmet, you would say, hey, I recognize him.

You'll really like this I guess?

I was brush mowing with ASV and FECON and was breathing in too much fine particles.

so I put on this snowmobile mask I have.

cell phone picture.

Your guess is as good as mine.
We'll need a Kiwi to answer that.
I don't even know what kind of tree that is.
Juniper, Cypress, Pine perhaps?
Trees from a distance doesn't get much more distant than the other side of the planet.

What about Solitto's Liquors??? That makes TWO chicken monuments!

[/ QUOTE ]

The Solitos chicken is more of a landmark. There is actually an RI Red monument in Adamsville across the street from the Barn.

..... and yes people, these are the types of things Rhode Islanders discuss, quahogs, clams, and oysters come up a lot too. I'm going to post another pic now. How do I embed them????

Actually, Tom could you post the pic of me using the solenoid to treat the cavity? Pretty please?!?!?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm having some difficulty finding it right now. It could revolutionize arboriculture as we know it, so for the greater good, I'll keep looking.
