Yet another insurance post

My GL insurance is coming to a close shortly and I'm tempted to shop around a bit. I'm not upset with the service, just always looking at other options. I'm also looking to bolster up my workmans comp.

I'm currently paying 2,500$ a year which pales in comparison to what everyone else pays but consider the fact that I only work a day or two a week at most.

My contract climbing is picking up a little bit, my business is starting to really soar (officially backlogged 2 weeks).

Anyone have any good leads on reasonable insurance I'd 'preciate some feedback.

Farm Family. They insure a lot of tree and landscapers in south jersey. They saved me a bundle compared to the previous agency I used. Good service too.

I am in Florida and got a policy with Larson's Insurance out of MI. They set me up the the Hartford Arborist Program. Contact Brandon Larson. Tell him Tree Frog Sent you.

Get a good agent. They will do all of the legwork for you, and handle any claims on your behalf. SO worth it.

ArborMax is a great choice, but it's for larger companies with a rather substantial payroll/WC yearly minimum.

Anybody heard of Quaker special risk insurance. Arbormax won't have me anymore because I'm too small. This is who my guy recommends. They don't even list Tree care as an option. I need something soon.

Thanks guys. I am now in touch with Farm Family and they sound pretty good so far. This Quaker co was nearly $1700 more per year than Arbormax. fro the same 1m/2m with a 10,000 tool rider. Just out of site IMO, only $2500 max on equip. Where does that leave my chipper or grinder?

Also check out Kelly King Insurance in California. She helped me get a great rate for coverage.
