Has anyone out there used that new imori rope from yale yet? I can't decide if textured grip sounds like a good thing or not.

Excellent rope. Easier to grip than lava fwiw.

It's a good rope, the grip are awsome because of the texture and the diameter of the rope. The beeline 10mm works very well, ( I use a VT) but I think it's grip to hard on it.
The mechanics ascender doesn't work well on the rope.
This rope are not fast like a Poison Ivy or a Blaze.

No not yet, just got a hitch on it. It's my climbing pal's rope. Will test it out on the sj one of these days...

Is PI still considered the best. I have lava and dont really like it compared to PI

One of our newer climbers uses it, though it's performance characteristics are not ones I'm particularly fond of. Different strokes for different folks.
