Re: X-man\'s first video edited and posted, hazard

Awesome video.. that's a tall order , especially when working in the woods with so many other trees interfering with line of sight... Great work too... Floating those pieces off like you had a crane... SWEET!

Nice job!!!
Do you sell the wood to a mill or split for firewood?
keep the vids rolling!

the four picks on that beech from bottom to top (of stick) were 7100, 5000, 4200 and 4100 so it was sorta big. but now that i am outa the game i dont feel so good. watching crews is not as exciting as doing the work. but i dont want to hi jack your awesome job; with the assistance of matty and nathan(i thought i heard nathans name mentioned?)

Nice video David. Those tulip Poplars get tall in a hurry, don't they? Like you commented, I too see defects in trees and wonder how stuff still stands...

I can see that the job had to be "sold" with the approach of how to take down the tree with the least impact to surroundings as possible verses lowest bid. Because, the owners could have chosen a low baller, with no skills, to bomb stuff everywhere.--Which, would have damaged the surroundings and the creek restoration. Nice job with selling your approach to doing it right.

I was wondering about the Hobbs as well. I don't want to get into a GRCS vs. Hobbs rabbit trail, but cranking on a GRCS is much much faster. And if there is electricity near, a drill is the cats meow!-- I digress.

That was some awesome stuff!! My dad and I have done some double rigging points just like that...worked the same way...fun stuff right there...hairy at first but I bet it got less hairy after awhile

Re: X-man\'s first video edited and posted, hazard

Awesome work man, looked like a tight crew too...just put a bid on some pine beetle trees, and its either speedline or two rigging points, the smooth action you show on the logs makes me want to work 'em with two riggin points.

nice site to work on, pretty serene.
