would this be safe/possible?

Ok so my boss just bought a AMT Pinnacle Saddle (deluxe) and he wants us to use it, well everyone shyed away from it so i said what the heck ill try it out because my saddle is going on 4 years old and is a little wore out. So i bought a hitch climber pully for it and it works great other than its stationary (doesn't float). so i was wondering if it would be safe or even possible to attach a rope bridge with carabiners to the D rings or even the two loops below it. I'm trying to think outside of the box at the same time i want to be safe about it,so i am turning to y'all for help/suggestions.

It shouldn't be any different than having a lanyard connected to the d-rings. As long as everything is rated for life support you should be in business. The only problem I can see is having your lanyard and "bridge" coming off the same d-rings and possibly undoing the wrong one? just my 2 cents.

The deluxe versions all come apart right? Maybe you could get him to spring for a new lower section, like a traverse or master lower section. Attaching a floating bridge to the D rings would make the bridge way too long and your hitch will always be out of reach. You may be stuck with a stationary attachment point.

I've used these before:

They come in various lengths so you may get lucky...

Don't bother attaching a bridge to the hip D rings. You won't sit properly and it'll be uncomfortable.

Good luck.

Or...don't use it, send it back and get a Butterfly or Dragonfly if you want the batten seat.

Cobbling and modifying has its place..don't I know that! But, there are times when it is best to have the right foundation instead of trying to forge something new.
