On inspecting this ally portawrap3 and the end of the year check off I noticed that the wear seems to be accelerating - retirement time?

Yes, retire that. I would keep it around as a good training tool, something to show the guys to be looking for when doing inspections. I would retire that. Just for the piece of mind, and a new one is under 150.00 I believe.

tis a shame when the ally is much lighter to cart around but there is a price for convenience. I still find it hard to throw out gear even when I have seem a cycle to failure incident occur right in front of me in the past and know better, guess that is being human for you.

I realised I haven't been at the business end of the tree for quite some time when I on inspection today I could fit my thumb into the groove.
