Why I enjoy my job.

Normally the areas I work in are just houses surrounded by more houses, or by woods. It's alright... but I've picked up a bunch of customers in this one area where it's a ride to get to... about 30 - 45 min each way, but I really like it. This is why. BTW, it's the first time I've ever taken a camera up into a tree.

This is Candlewood Lake, and the pictures were taken on the Isle from a swamp maple which was endangering the house.

A black cat crossed my path yesterday (a very rare occurence) and later in the day a lead on this tree ripped out when I tried lowering a chunk of wood from it. Luckily no damage to me or the property.

I guess I should feel fairly lucky when I think about it as I live on Vancouver Island, I catch myself at the top of a 150’er sometimes looking out over the ocean and realize I am lucky to work ware I do the views around here are awesome and snow covered mountain ranges and ocean, but sadly growing up around it all my life has made me to used to it and therefore I think I take it for granted sometimes, but at those moments I think there is nothing I would rater do even if it’s a bad day. Nice pictures though thanks for sharing them!

This is my favorite start to a day of tree work.

one of the best jobs ive ever done was a weeping willow right on the edge of the medford lakes in mid october, mid color change for the leaves, it was 68 degrees outside, slight wind and all i had to do was mouth and fell out pieces into the water and let the guys riggem back onto land, 15 min between each cut, all i had to do was sit back, relax and enjoy the job (and work here and there). fall is coming and its by far the best time for tree work, i cant wait
