Just officially became a member of the club. Have been having chest discomfort over the past month and a half or so. New Years Eve day had a what I would call a major angina event. Had 2 stents yesterday and am scheduled for a third the first week in Feb. Had 2 95%+ blockages in the same artery. I believe I dodged a major bullet this time! Got to say I'm feeling much better. Guess that puts me out of the Geezers this year.

I'm glad to hear that you've joined the BHC...there are worse clubs to join!

Will you have to change your lifestyle or diet in a big way?

Thanks Tom. Really didn't want to join the club, but as you know getting old is a B*^%H! As I have said before, I have have a bad family history, so I have been proactive as far as exercise and Dr. etc. I also have the diabetes risk factor to consider. Have been watching diet etc for a while, but there is room to do better. Guess I'll have to get a little better at that. Tough thing is the mind says "You can still do that" but the body is saying "Whoa there buddy!" This is a thing the younger guys really need to consider. We are not invincible. Wondering about Rick and how he is doing simce his last episode.

Scotty, Thanks Bro. I haven't made up my mind completely yet. The GAA is the following weekend and I have volunteered to judge there. Maybe if I can hook a ride.

Stephan, I was pretty sure you still had it. I will see you in Savannah for sure. I better be there as I am the Conference Chair. BTW, just found out that I will be a grandpa again next summer WOO HOO!!!

OldOak! Sorry I missed this post big guy, otherwise I'd have responded sooner.

Stents are a miracle treatment for sure. Why the delay in getting the third?

I'll be heading to FL the weekend of NTTCC and I may swing by to watch the competition. Maybe we could connect and compare notes.

Glad you are doing well and to see that you are looking at your body and life differently.

Keep this one thought in mind though, as the body slows it just means we have to do things differently. Most importantly, if we don't continue to grow we head the other direction. Life is like a race, we need to run it as if to win. Do your best to do your best no matter what the obstacles are!

Rick, your timing is incredible! I just goy home from the hospital from the third stent placement. Apparently the reason for the delay is that they don't like to place stents in different arteries at the same time as it can cause an arythemia to occur. I think the doc just needs a new boat or something!! Hope to see you at NATCC. I will be arriving in Savannah around noon on Thursday and be there trought the conference. Sure hope we can meet up, I'd like to meet in person.
