Apr 20, 2021 #1 Basswood Carpal tunnel level member Location Long island Stumped on this one with new foliage emerging. Curious if anyone has a clue. Another one on the property looked like a Kousa dogwood until I saw the leaves and samaras (I think?). Unless that is something completely different. type of Parrotia?

Apr 20, 2021 #3 Reach Been here much more than a while Location Atglen, PA Looks rather suspiciously like Box Elder to me too.
Apr 20, 2021 #5 Basswood Carpal tunnel level member Location Long island Didn’t notice the opposite buds, definitely looks right for box elder. Don’t see it often on Long Island but lost on the other tree with the different bark but similar emerging leaves and seeds. That’s the one that made me think parrotia. Last edited: Apr 20, 2021
