Best I've had and quite sweet. Also interesting floral and spice notes from its herb infusions. Little goes a long way in a Manhattan, I use a 4 to 1 with this stuffI've been looking for a good vermouth to try. Would this be your top choice? Is it dry or sweet?
If one substitutes thinner for Vermouth, would the drink then be known as a Nebraska?Just use paint thinner. Costs less, tastes the same.
This is a decent well rye IMO. Wouldn't want it neat but makes a decent cocktail for an 80 proof. Here's to the bottom shelf...
One of my favorite quotes came from a disposable aluminum baking pan, "Always support the bottom".
I like a good rye as well. Depends on my moodAnd the mid shelf...
Been on a rye kick lately..
I also tried some of that recently. My bottle label was slightly different.Latest buy. Their lowest $$$ offering.

Agreed but that is a costlier bottle.I also tried some of that recently. My bottle label was slightly different.
I didn't like it was much as "Four Roses, Small Batch".
That's actually the one I bought. I liked the "Four Roses, Small Batch" better.
Post your comparison. I prefer the Four Roses, Small Batch. That is on my list to try. I read a brief article about T. Jefferson and it said he hated whiskey and that wine was his adult drink of choice. Apartently he had a large wine collection and "wine debt" when he died. Not sure if that's true or not...
He was a huge fan of Chateau Lafite (not sure about that spelling). Depending on the year, this stuff might be the finest bordeux in the world. Every 5 years I have a glass of 1976. My parents were given a case as a wedding gift, and they opened a bottle every 5th anniversary. Mom passed in 04, so my dad opens it with his sons now. Usually a nice meal and a tear-eyed toast to Mom.That is on my list to try. I read a brief article about T. Jefferson and it said he hated whiskey and that wine was his adult drink of choice. Place has some interesting history, some nasty business during WW2 with the Nazi invasion.
Having the Small Batch now, no way it's better to me than the Jefferson's Reserve. Now, 4 Rose's Single Barrel may be a different story. That's actually the one I bought. I liked the "Four Roses, Small Batch" better.
