where to get good prusik cordage?

Location
Idaho
I need some 7mm cordage
preferred construction would be technora core with a polyester or technora polyester blend sheath.

Any Ideas?

Try the 10mm Beeline; easy to splice and super light weight.

I was waiting for someone with a sense of humor to pick up on that. :-)

Have you tried Bailout by Samson?

It is marketed as 5/16 or 8mm, but on the vernier without squeezing the cordage, Bailout comes in at 7.5mm compared to Beeline at 9mm.

It is also much firmer & tighter (!!), compared to a pretty sloppy jacket on the Beeline.

It also has better heat resistance.

But splicing it is a bugger!

I'd like something for a captive eye biner lanyard adjuster, a la Tom Dunlap, also for an adjustable SRT tether. 8mm is a bit bulky tying 2 knots to the captive eye.

Just a couple of general comments...

8mm beeline has a 6mm vectran core, so does HRC but the HRC core is noticeably stiffer.
Technora is kind of soft and flexible. The Tech cord has a urethane coating that makes it stiffer.

If you splice it and whiplock the jacket tightly, HRC is pretty stiff, almost too stiff for a split tail.

I've been an HRC fan since it came out but a recent experience with a rope that was utterly coated with fresh pine pitch convinced me to start using icetail. So far, I'm liking it better than HRC on Poison Ivy. I still prefer HRC for Velocity though.
