What's your favorite BOOTS ?

If you do get them, I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on them. I was thinking about getting a more casual, non work shoe from HAIX, as I have been very impressed by their overall quality. I have also had a number of LOWAs and they're excellent as well. I had some Asolo boots 15 years ago that were pretty awesome as well, but not resoleable, which is something I wanna see in anything over $200

Socks: Merino wool. I've become a little bit of a sock snob in that regard....but good ones last a long time, so they really aren't as expensive as the price tag leads you to think. They feel great! I look for light/mid weight socks. Something that is about the thickness of "regular" cotton socks.

Darn Tough (just a hair too thick for summer, if I had my way).
Smart Wool
Got a pair of Red Head at Bass pro, that I can't find anymore.
Probably my favorite are some People Socks I bought at least 5-6 years ago. 6 pair originally. I think I'm down to 4, but they aren't even threadbear. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore. They ones I've gotten are nice, but a little too heavy for summer.
I wear Darn Tough wool socks. Knee high. Year-round. They are very durable, but when they finally wear out, I get to send them back and get a new pair for zilch. They must recycle the old materials and find savings in manufacturing or something, because their policy is almost too good to be true.

Hey, I know those!
Eric well most do not know that you are the first to sewn a footloop on a pair of boots for the kneeascender. Then you pitched it to arbpro. It was 2014. Remember the first ones I sold to you because I did not like them.....Funny how I came around to love them years later....oh the progression. You were always tinkering to get the most outta your gear. I always followed behind you. Even though you were way more innovative with your climbing systems. Rigging too.

Thanks, Swing. There are so many innovative people on this forum and in our industry as a whole. I can’t think of a better group to be around. Man, if you ever want to come up again just say the word. I’d like you to meet the family. As you said…”oh the progression!”

I will surely take you up on that.....
