What is a lightly used Stihl MS-200T worth?

Trying to figure out how to price a lightly used MS-200T. I see numbers all over the place online, including eBay.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

a shop here sells a rebuilt for $750. I paid $500 for a used one from the shop. I think that's fair. $300 would be a deal. Also depends who you talk too. Lightly used, in good shape I would think $600 is about right. I have heard of new ones going for $1200 to $1500. It will not be hard to sell that saw.

Since I posted this, I've done a bit of research, not a lot, but they seem to be worth a whole lot more than $125 or $300...

Not to 95% of tree people. I'd give like $300 as well. A new 193 comes with a warranty. Some guys just fell in love with them. The 201 is quite a fair substitute. They mod easily, according to some thread on arboristsite.

193 is a cheap saw for light pruning . 200t is a removal saw. That's comparing an apple to an orange. People love the 200t because it is reliable and powerful. The 201 needs mods because its has been problematic from the beginning even Stihl reps admit that.

He'll, that's like comparing Apple's to a steak! 200T's are the shiz and it's a bummer they dumbed them down to the 201. Although the new 201tc has been getting good reviews, its no 200.

I was only comparing the price that I am willing to pay to what I can get new.
I've used 200s. They're great. I use a 201 every day. They are also great.

I gave $375 + shipping for a freshly rebuilt 200T using OEM parts about 5 months ago: its my spare.

eBay isn't a good gauge: if you want honestly, you came to the right place.

There's also someone on Facebook trying to sell a NIB MS290 for $500: it's still there too.

The 193 is my back-up for my 201tc. I think it a little heavy for a pruning saw. The 150 is super light.
Anyone have any input on the 150 for durability?

Seconding this request. I love the idea of a tiny 200. I'd use it for every cut up to 12 inches on every takedown ever.

Dropped mine 8' onto a soft lawn, it destroyed the top handle and side handle... hasn't had mechanical issues, but it was bought in June and only sees wood a few days a week of "light" use.. think I'm on the third chain

I agree the 150 is a great saw for pruning. My 193 is a back up and for groundies to beat up. I think the 193 is gutless and fragile. Removals with the 200t and prune with the 150 that's my opinion.

200's are alright. 201's are alright. Jesus.. There isn't that much of a difference. Everyone gets by. If there's an issue with the torque or speed of the cut.. Adjust your cutting technique. Sorry.. I'm just sick to death about hearing all this shit about 200's being climbing Gods. I've got two in my basement. TWO. fug 'em. My 540 stays on my hip, never let's me down. It's the sawyer, not the saw.

I liked that right up until the 540 part. I mean, have you ever used one in the summer? They vapor lock.
