Thanks Twig for the post. This is the first I've seen for the player hardware. But using tree-ring series (say ring width or density) as a source of acoustic data that can be played back through a computer has been around for decades. Whether it is music is a matter of taste! Still Rich Guyette at UMissouri-Columbia has gotten a pretty good algorithm so you can hear drought and other distubance patterns in ring-width series.
But the player is new to me!
