what hitch do you ride?

3 wrap 3 braid vt, love the distel though. My 7 year old son ties and climbs on the distel.

3 wrap, 3 braid VT on OP, sometimes a 4 wrap 3 braid on beeline.

use a distel for my lanyard adjuster.

If I'm spar choking and I want it to lock up tight quick, lots of times I use a Schwabish :)

Usually a Knut or VT. I really like the Knut but find it finicky sometimes, especially switching up materials and rope diameters. The VT is really sweet except for that little slack before it resets each time it is advanced. I never really got into the Distel, seemed to bite down too tight for me.

VT, or rather XT, 8mm cord, Ocean at the moment. I just bought some 10mm Ocean for use with PI but I'm sorta skeptical about using it with Velocity.

I'm finding that with 8mm cords like HRC and Ocean, the way you twist the legs (eyes) before hooking them onto the biner makes a lot of difference in how it grabs after being slacked.

It's a trade off between easy slack shucking or having the knot set more automatically. I've played with it so much now that no matter what I habitually set the knot before weighting it.

Vt on the climbing line. Distel on my lanyard. And I always have a split tail on my belt for tailing around.

My current rig is an 18" loop of Maxim Tech 5mm cord tied in a triple fisherman knot in a grapevine.

Tight on the delta; 4 wrap Michoacán; the up rope F8 loop are all corner trapped with a Snugli hair band.

Then it is attached to my saddle delta with a 14" tubular web loop that places the Michoacán just within grasp.

This distance will allow me to pull the down rope in my best power zone; self advance and using a floating false crotch at the TIP the measurable friction is minimal.

Nick is making me an Ice E2E that has one of the highest melting points.

(Yes I like speed descents especially inverted)

I'm using 8mm beeline and I have found that as well. I like to give it an extra wrap when it doesn't grab all the time, and that seems to be a pretty happy medium.
