What car to buy

I might suggest that there is something wrong w/ your mileage. It should be much better than 14 / 20 mpg.

I used to have an '85 Audi w/ a 5 cyl engine.
It had electronic, independent, control of the center & rear differentials.
Great car !
I was mistaken it was a 2005,
Pretty standard mpgs for that wagon having a 3.0 v6...18city-25highway was spec.
You could get 25mpg IF you drove with cruise on 55mph.... if you drove with the cruise on 73mph you might get 21mpg. Was like every 5mph cost you 1mpg round cruising speed.
I did not care about the mpgs and drove it like an asshole, got bout 16-18 mpg average 50%city/50%highway

Car was $40k+ brand new in 2005...I bought it in 2008 used with 100k miles for $7,500 from audi whole sale trade in. Immaculate condition dealer maintained, I think only one person rode in it daily as a commuter. At 100k the audi a6 3.0 has a service that can cost about $6k at the dealer, so good time to trade them in, no reasle value for an audi with 100k miles...I'll take it thank you! We put 50k miles on it in two years, got $9,500 for it when we got rid of it.
