If you cannot find it in your heart to make a positive comment regarding this issue, we here at Treebuzz have the belief that Christ will never forgive you or any of us for that matter.

Hell and damnation is not a respected topic in my book out side of your chosen place of worship. I think you need to get a handle on yourself and understand that not everyone is a lamb being led to the slaughter.

nice web site. It is nice to see someone start from scratch and thrive. It does come down to soul in the end. Ethics and passion go a long way. That should be the corner stone for all of us.

oh ye of parum fides pro ego sum Filiolus viator hic procul treebuzz

I see that you are educated in the Latin, perhaps we can work toegther as spiritual arborists on the journey of teaching the Buzzheads about Jesus's message.

Thank you Smallwood for igniting the spark of hope.

Amen

You are a true believer and for this I thank you. But hark, no, I am but a foot soldier of God, nay a Pope nor a Bishop, just an arborist who has found God in the trees.

Amen

So, I googled habamus papam, because I am not "educated in the latin" and oddly enough, this what I came up with...

"Don't need no reefer. Don't need cocaine. Purple music does the same for my brain." ~Prince

I don't know exactly what "purple music" is, but it would probably suit my tastes more than the other BS.

As to the truck and chipper rig...Good on ya! You've got everything you need and the important stuff has nothing to do with your rig.

We started out with an ancient Ford Ranger (bought off my dad for a dollar), and a landscape trailer. MrMW would get out the big saw, stand on top of the mountain of debris in the trailer and make mincemeat out of it so I could pile more on top. We called it the "poor-white-trash chipper". People, myself included, were always amazed at how much debris we could actually fit in that trailer. And the people at the scales at the dump were always amazed at how much that little truck could haul.

It looks perfect for a prune job. Low start-up cost to boot, and it looks rugged! Hmmmm... looks strikingly similar to someone elses rig I know.

I agree with Prince in theory with the reefer, and I agree totally with the cocaine, but I stand at odds with the artist who was formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince, who is now simply called Prince about the purple music. I like my music in more of a tangerine.

Good job on the hard work and new rig.

Its a help to me to see that others are successful with small set-ups like mine. I'm working with a chuck and duck, that with a bit of work here and there, runs like a champ, even though its as old as I am practically (1975), plus a 1/2 ton. I've been thinking that I need to get a 1-2 ton truck pronto to have a good set-up, however as you say, the people refer you to friends. Nobody refers someone that they think will make a bloody mess out of themselves in their friends' tree, nor crush their house and landscaping.

From your picture you've got safety gear in place and are doing the more important stuff right. I worked for company that partnered with another. Between the two they had a lot of business, BIG chip trucks, Big Chippers, a bucket truck, skidsteers, mini-excavators, no tree care training/ ISA, a cut open hand, a guy that flipped his flipline over the spar and fell to the ground because of no backup line, a rolled truck with one guy getting facial paralysis, and danger around every turn with a breakneck removal production pace. Gotta make the money to pay for the fancy machines. So many people are overextended. You putting up this thread is reassurance to me that a person doesn't have to make it big overnight. Congrats to you and all safe, successful businesses big and small.

Its more important what a person can do with what they have, than to have all the fancy equipment around.

Keep it safe and keep on growing at your own pace.

Well today was great. The thought of using the old dodge just one more time was killing me so I worked all week into the late hours last night to get my "new" truck ready. Had a few jobs lined up. Drop Sugar Maple into yard, chip brush, leave wood went pretty well. Second job, remove spruce and cut "2 dead branches out of Norway" well the customer asked me to do this over the phone as an add on. Turned out to be about ten fair size branches. Got it done with no problems. What happened next only can compare to the birth of my children in pure feelings of happiness. I got to the dump site with a full truck. Flicked a switch and watched the little tipster tip. I will have to get a picture of the new truck one these days. Next on my list is new paint and motor for the fitchburg. Man.....what a day.
