hey, dance with the one who brung ya!

I've run rigs like that before, the biggest problem is the clean up around it AFTER the brush is chipped......

now thats funny!!! i cant tell you how many times it was more work to clean around the trailer than it was to get the tree down, thanks for the flash back

I just put in an order for a new 1590 bandit (47K) which I could never afford, but it is not my money, I now work for the City.
I used to have a guy with a whip-n-duck that I actually contracted to chip my brush when I was grindin' out a living. Good luck to this guy, and anyone who is out there doin it!

That's how I started, Old Mitts and Merrill chipper and a pick up truck. First job I did professionally (1997), I ended up marrying his daughter

You have to start somewhere.

The wisconsin is actually doing a good job. Found it in a farmers field. Drained the water out of it poured diesel into the cylinders let it soak for a while and sure enough I've been using that motor for 5 yrs now. Always looking for a nice little 4 cylinder air cooled diesel though. If you had a fitchberg you should appreciate the modified springs on the trap door thingy. I don't think I am doing to bad by the way. I work full time municipally and just use this on weekends and evenings. I have full credentials ISA certified, insurance, tree worker. You all are right the quality of work is the important thing. Some customers see the rig and second guess if I can do the job. Well after I leave a few days later my phone rings and it is a friend of their's that has a tree.

Thanx for all the support guys

With all the humor they are sending your way, it made me think of the scene in Down Periscope where Kelsey Grammar first sees the diesel submarine that he's commissioned with.

Some comments along the lines of the "Merrimack" or a museum called the "wonderful world of corrosion"

If it runs though - great.

Better it chips that you having to whittle the sticks.

Probably paid for itself in more ways than the newer ones.

Only a blessed few tree workers have never had to use a drum chipper. There are no feed rollers on these machines. They just "suck" the brush in and spit it out.

Thought i'd take some of your laughs A mans got to start somewhere, 25 years ago I built my whipper chipper - this is the only pic I have of it. the chip mill came off an old Asphlund trk. I think it was the worlds 1st chipper with a reverse. oof da . . . Take your machine to a blaster & painter for a few hundred bucks you won't generate so many laughs

With a little luck, networking within the Industry, TCI, good people, integrity, and high quality services you can grow it into whatever size company you want. from that old chipper (we called it "the sander") heres the same company 25 years later www.topnotchtree.com

Thought everyone might get a kick out of my truck and chipper. Ya, it works just fine. I've used this for about 5 yrs now. I just got a new truck so I can have my piece of rope holding the tailgate shut back. OK now stop laughing.

Let us prey for this man, as he has been sent to show us the error of our ways.....

Blessed are the meek my son, for it is they who shall inherit the Earth, you are a true believer in the lost faith of hope. Jesus would have welcomed you into his arms as a poor man trying to be a spiritually rich man.

Your hope has entitled you to a life of spiritual sanctity and for this you shall be welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven.

At this time of year we must try to console our meeker neighbours who in times of need try to show us their vision of a world filled with hope.

Thank you for posting this picture my son, and I shall make an attempt to fix my wheelbarrow to my chipper as you have done in earnest.

Thank you

Amen

Try and be positive about Christ, you show the signs of a tired person who has yet to be recieved by our Lord and saviour. Christ shall give you the energy to face up to your constant dilemmas, and from the look of your past posting habits they are not going away any time soon.

Your comment is but a pitiful attempt at hiding your insecurities regarding the issue of commenting on the person's chipper and truck set-up.

If you cannot find it in your heart to make a positive comment regarding this issue, we here at Treebuzz have the belief that Christ will never forgive you or any of us for that matter.
