Wedding rings

Reading these posts makes me apreciative of my wife who isnt bothered by the fact I leave the house for work without it.

Same here. I didn't realize it was such a big deal for others.
I get extra points for when I actually put it ON. Unexpected fringe benefit.

No rings, no jewlry, not at all. I have told guys to take rings, chains, and one guy a braclet off. My wife doesn't mind at all. I hardly ware it at all, unless we are going out. But it is not safe, not to bad with gloves on, but everyone takes gloves off some times, and still have the ring on.

Thanks for all of the input. After seeing that de-gloving photo I am sure I will be finding a safer place than my finger for the ring while doing tree work.

Slightly off of topic but I did find it somewhat ironic when the TCIA "Until we are all safe" green bracelets came out. I saw plenty of folks wearing them on the job and always recommended they take them off when on the job site. Especially around the chipper.

The "Until we are all safe" Have a low breaking strength now. The first batch were too 'strong' though.

I have mine attached to the key ring for my 'work' keys. It gets in my way a lot so it's a reminder to me.

I used to wear mine while I was working, but everytime that I would take off my grippy glove, I would lose it.

Now I just have it hanging from my rearview mirror in my pickup truck and see it (and reminded by it) everyday.

Reminders are a good thing. I have my unwashed shirt covered in blood from when I sunk my 200t in my forearm a year ago, hanging in my garage right next to my tools so I can see it everyday as I'm loading the truck. The amount of blood on it still makes me think. My wife isnt too fond of it though especially as guest have seen it a few times.

You can always get a tattoo on your ring finger.

My ex-wife had my name tattooed in cursive on her right buttcheek. That was her fault.

Keep the jewelry to a minimum on the job. Wear the bling for the movie and dinner date.

She had "easy" tattooed in cursive on her right buttcheek?!? Guess that explains the "ex-wife" part.

Can I get a Boo ya!!!

Well, i looked at this topic with my ex yesterday and she said that she would not mind if i didnt wear it on work when we were together.

I asked her why not

She replied that she rather had all my fingers in their right places instead of some of them missing :)

My ring never comes off (Probably couldn't take it off if I wanted to, by now, either.) It's never been a hindrance or an issue for me.

Mine is always off during work.

for safety and not ruining the ring.

It's a really cool ring, in my opinion. Platinum and woven like rope. My wife did a great job.

$2500 or $3500, I forget which one.

Never on during work or during jobs in my yard.

Really helps not having it on giving estimates on weekends too, if the husbands aren't home, I can stick it to the bitches.

just kidding...

I always put it on when giving estimates.

I still stick it to them though...

just kidding again.

picture of my really cool ring attached.

BTW, to those of you that have tungsten carbide rings: if you ever have to take it off a swollen finger (VERY difficult, if not impossible for most hospitals to cut), you can whack it with a hammer and it will crack in half. I learned this first hand!

Also, TC rings make great bottle-openers!
