WCISA TCC June 14-15

White Oaks (Quercus lobata)

Their are other trees in the park but they are not big enough....

Post the pic's . I've been using the Bry-Dan saddle for almost thirty years. I have other saddles but I don't know why? The Bry-Dan can do it all for this California climber who ends up climbing all over the world...

Thank God for Ed Hobbs who designed the saddle as well as his lowering device.

Hey Guys,

If you know of any women climbers, please encourage them to sign up for the competition. So far it is just me and we need at least 2 more to make it a real competition.

We need to send the best over to St Louis to compete head to head with those awesome ladies and bring back some trophies for the WC.

See ya all there at the Comp!

Hey Jesse,

As long as you put on some make up, shave your legs and smell real nice, maybe we'll let you on our team. Just kidding!

I really hope we have a couple more ladies wanting to seriously compete. I'd love to see the Western Chapter send a women to the ITCC that could really represent our Chapter well. But if we don't have 2 more sign up, it won't happen.

I hope they find room for you to compete.

Cool!!

Are they from the San Diego area? FYI- If you could let them know that the women have a Western Chapters Women's Group forming where we are staying in touch and trying to plan events for networking and climbing opportunities. We also have supporters apart of the group, so if you are interested, I can put you on the mailing list.
Anyway, if the ladies you know are interested, have them check out this link and e-mail me so I can get them on the list:

I just found out that 2 more women have signed up!! So we'll have a full women's competition!!

Hey Jesse,

I was just talking with Chad & Jose about planning another competition for the CAA. We want to do it this coming fall some where in So Cal, like at the LA Arboretum or maybe another park in the LA area. We'll keep you posted so you for sure can get in on it!

Can't wait till June!!

I just realized that my post might have made it sound like the women's comp is full. It's not. We have 3 signed up so far, but I think they can take up to 5 or 6, so if you know of any women who wanted to compete, they can still sign up through the Western Chapter. Tell them to do it soon, because someone is for sure going to St Louis this year!!! Ya Hoo!!

are there any parties planned?
are there any unnofficial rogue tree climbs planned for afterwards?

With me now included, this makes 3 zonies that I know of that will be representing Az.

Team Extreme?
Team extreme heat?

I was trying to change things in my silly schedule so I could make it this year, but it looks like it can't happen. I SO wanted to be there!!!

Maybe next year?

Good luck folks.

Javier- just get in the regular comp!

love

The women should have as many competitors as the men. If the number of male contestants is limited to thirty then the same limit should apply to the women folk as well. In my opinion.

Nick , I'll be there to represent SO-CAL in the old timers event.. I don't like that tone '' Old Timers '' it should be called something else.. Hey Nick just got back from Canada and had a great time there , help out on a tree canopy walk way , I'll post some pic later on the TB...

Later from SO-CAL
