washing hard hat

Hey guys was wondering if anyone has put there Ecrin Roc in the dishwasher? Mine is extremely nasty and looking for a good washing. I had my wife wash my water jug (after 6 months) the other day and it came out like new. Now i am thinking about the hard hat, any thoughts/suggestions?

i soak mine in the sink overnight and in the morning i scrub the top softly with a wash rag or scrubber

my X put it in an old style clothes washer and it cracked it between the agitator and the side

in the sink i use a little oxi clean and some laundry soap

I have put my vertex vent through the dishwasher multiple times and it comes out looking good and not smelling so bad too. Works out really well so in my opinion go for it.

I'de keep it on the top shelf of the dish washer.

Read the manufacturers fact sheet. What temps are ok?

Then find out what temp the water is in your dish washer. Most will heat incoming water if it's not hot enough. You might have a setting for rinsing dishes that does not heat the water.

Changing the characteristics of a water jug isn't likely to lead to injury. The same can't be said for a helmet.
