Video: Tree Buzz Members

There is a fire wire hook up in the front of this computer. That should help speed it up. I tried doing a few videos with my last computer and the words never really matched the timing of the picture and it would also change speeds (slow moving, fast and back).

format comparison and list of editing software

Thanks, glens for those links!. Just what I need. I need to find the time to edit and compress all my videos, which, up to now were just shot with my camera. I was shopping for a video cam when my laptop crashed. Just built a killer desktop, now have to get some editing software. And figure out why my film scanner is producing crappy oput of focus scans....it's been inactive for a couple years as my old desktop barely works.

The main two things I need are software than can rotate videos that I shot wrong and compress them.

I don't know if it will run on your (likely MS) desktop, or whether you might consider it too powerful if it does, but I've introduced a program on the tree-free forum in a new thread about video encoding.

I rotated and modified your sideways video from the "blocking down" thread by "merely" issuing a "simple" command with the software...

But Glens, a whole bunch of us get audio and no picture ... me included. I posted there too.

Just a bump for this thread and hopefully the chiefs can move it to the video forum ...

... it was nice to see again with over 50 faces, perhaps should make it a sticky to sit ontop of all threads. /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif
