Yes, we can use your help. The event is real short on techs and score runners/ data entry people.

Runners must be funny and know how to smile. The rest is easy. Even if we are short on runners... That is going to be no problem. The head judges will just have to step up.

Talked with AZ and will work out the details. I am about 79% sure that I will be able to make it.

Well I will say I'm about 90% sure that I will be there. I did not notice that it is a Friday Saturday comp. Which means a Thursday check in -- gear check? I will need to get a babysitter for thursday, but should be able to work something out.

See yu'll soon

I couldn't get away today to help set up. Boss got wise and flooded me with paperwork. Paperwork that needed to be done, but, man, its just not the same...

Walked the site Friday and then Sunday evening. I could see the events in their places in many of these trees.

Weather is supposed to be better towards weekend, 90s day, 70s night.

The Buzzmobile will be loading at 6am for the trip to Plano. Dorian/Dreamweaver, Paul/pstuffel and I are piling the gear aboard and heading north.

Camping at Lake Lavon!

I had a BLAST at competition and even afterwards! To talk to other tree people that know more and have similar interests...trees and the climbing of trees is rewarding to say the least. It energizes me and eases the burn out. I would be willing to bet that the Texas State chapter has THE BEST people of all the chapters. I'm proud to be apart of this group. In my opinion this was a great event and went off smoothly. Nevic and the people running this even did a flawless job. To see the contestants of the Masters climb shake hands and congratulate each other afterwards was as if we were family competing together and not against each other. I was actually told that from Mr. Beddis in 2004 at the international in Pittsburgh and experienced the confirmation today. (I'm slow) I need to post more on TreeBuzz. Sorry I've neglected you guys. Congrads to Abram!

One more time.... this is Curtis Hopper's wife. I did not mean to sound negative about Curtis' tree trimming abilities at our dinner afterwards. He is deliberate, calculating and his trees turn out great and he puts on quite a show in the process. One tree covered a whole curve in the road and neighbors came out with lawn chairs, sandwiches and cokes to watch the show.

I didn't threaten her I swear!!

Except for getting chiggers at the campground the weekend was perfect!

Even the rain on Thursday didn't slow things down very much.

Finishing with a nice dinner before the drive home was a perfect end to a fun weekend!

Thanks!
