Treestuff's New Website

They opened their Reno warehouse to speed up west coast shipping. I suppose that two east coast warehouses were more headache than benefit. There is still a treestuff office in Indy, just no warehouse.

For those of us close to Indianapolis, this certainly changes things. I loved and took full advantage of the super quick shipping I could get being so close... will definitely be looking elsewhere now.

Shipping won’t be quite a quick, but you will get better service from Gap Arborist Supply. They’ve become our exclusive supplier, their service is so good.

I've just canceled a few orders because the site froze up when I would try to pay. Went to bartlett for some of the stuff. Canceled my last order because they had 20 percent off on biners. Total came to 40 dollars, so I looked for things I could use to get total to $100 fir free shipping. So I added a couple wedges and webbing slings. Then an ad popped up that said bag o rope is $50. Well hell, who doesn't want a bag o rope, and it put me over $100. So I got everything in my cart and tried to pay, but when I did it kept raising the price of bag o rope to $70. Wouldn't let me place the order at advertised price. So I finally just gave up and cancelled the order. Not worth all the hassle. I used to buy almost everything from treestuff, but it seems like they are chasing me away.

Been taking over a week to receive stuff shipped to Ohio lately. Used to be 1-2 days, 3 days tops. I miss it.

Yah I placed an order on Monday and hadn’t received email confirmation with tracking. Called today and they said it wouldn’t ship till Friday. Five days to ship an order. Not five days to receive it 5 days to put a ring and a bridge in a box and leave it at the back door for ups. Not happy.

I haven't ordered anything from them in a while but it seems like they are shooting their feet. Really hope things turn around.

I talked with one of their staff yesterday- they're having a hard time matching staff to ebb and flow because of the virus. Orders slowed down, then exploded, and will probably cycle a few times till things get closer to normal.

Have you ordered much from amazon lately? Orders from any retailer seem to be all over the place. It’s funny just how bent up we can get from an inconvenience and lose sight of the bigger picture of what’s happening around us (I’m guilty).

I have ordered from amazon lately. In fact I have ordered from a number of different retailers with what I consider to be a realistic response time during this pandemic that were all going through. I also realize that it’s not acceptable to think that we should expect things to be as they were even 2 months ago. What I do realize is that business has to continue and people need to purchase items to keep our economy running. I respect what your saying about having realistic expectations during this crisis though. I would just expect to be notified about significant delays in orders.

I hear that. The root of the delay is probably also responsible for them not notifying you. Something I’ve been pondering, and you may have a great perspective, Steve- when a company is experiencing setbacks and decides to announce them whether through social media, email, etc, how does that affect your thoughts toward them? What does that say to you?

I’m experiencing delays on different orders, some of it is the companies, but mostly if coming through the post office, it is going to be late. One package sat in Detroit distribution center for five day. Have some gear that was backordered for a few months now, coming from UK and European companies, who have manufacturing in Taiwan and China, who knows when it will appear.

I have officially had it with Treestuff. And it sucks because I want to support my dudes in Indianapolis, but Sherrill has stopped that for me.

Treestuff needed to change into a more profitable company and I get that. Can't give away the world for free and expect to make money. But they've just gone to damn far.

I've been ordering from treestuff for 5 years now, but in the last 9 months I've started a company so I'm here to spend real money. I have made some sizable orders over the last couple months and each time it took 5 or more business days to ship. One time I ordered and paid for overnight shipping to get it next day. That was Friday March 13th. I got a non working shipping code then it didn't ship out until who knows when. I didn't get it until the 17th and I was told I'd get refunded my shipping cost... which never happened.

What's worse is calling treestuff and hearing their response. They can't do anything about shipping now because Sherrill does the east coast. They promise they'll fix it and expedite ship things out that day. AND THEN IT DOESNT EVEN SHIP OUT!

Saturday morning at 830am...when they're closed I get an email saying my order has shipped. 2 items i ordered say they're backordered and no one informed me at all. I check the tracking information and all it says is that they printed the label. Never actually went out, just printed so they can give me a number.

So basically Sherrill screwed me raw by screwing treestuff.

I wonder if Sherrill does prime shipping with Amazon and that's why they can't handle the volume? Just a theory since Amazon has almost all notch products on prime shipping.

So thank you Tripp and the rest of Sherrill. Since you just buried Treestuff you should start digging Sterlings hole.
