Oh and Newark is a much different place from when you were there last Steve. PSEG and Prudential pumped over $4 million into the renovation of Military Park. It's got a great new look and a cool burger place that received rave reviews for the NY Times. Whole Foods is going in, the two art deco office towers are now luxury condos, Indigo Hotel opened a boutique style hotel down the street from the Prudential Center, a couple of cool ale houses, Dinosaur BBQ, Riverfront Park and much more. It's still has a long way to go but the improvements are having a very positive impact overall. My wife has worked there for 33 yrs so she's witnessed the decay and now the rejuvenation. Besides a great museum the public library is worth checking out.
But, I suspect nobody will have much time to leave the airport….
