HA HA (busting you back)

nope the tree would never grow in New Jersey that is above the zones this is a southern tree and this one is in a park in North East Georgia. it is a great tree to Climb and I am heading there tomorrow.

the tree is short lived 60-80 years
they love SUNNY locations and do not do well is the dense woods they tend to survive more on the edge of the wood and in the open.

Oh it's just sooooo easy is it?

It looks like Water oak is listed to grow in N.J. by the way.

So, how about my first choice Q. laevis (turkey oak) and I'll go again with Q. virginiana (Live oak), since you busted my chops.

and just to be funny I'll go with BASSTARD WHITE OAK (Q. austrina), even though i don't think they grow big like that. (isn't that funny, the buzz wouldn't let me right basstard, so i had to spell it this way, basstard is not just a derogatory word)

Truth is, no words are derogatory. A person has to choose to be offended for a word to be offensive. Censorship is lame.
