Trees from a distance

Damnit, I planted 3 of these this year, but the name completely escapes me! Bark exfoliates to a really great looking creamy white underneath, flowers are great too.

Damn memory!
 
Jeff, you're right. I have to admit, the other day when I took the pic, I thought it was crapemyrtle (this client also has one of those in a more protected area), but it is indeed heptacodium. You da man.

Yeah, it's very similar, but Crapemyrtle won't grow in a site like that up here. The client does have one that was given to them at a plant show in NY, and it is supposedly hardy to zone 6, which we are. It is in a sheltered area and it seems like it's kind of a sorry little thing. We'll see as it ages.

I have some real stumpers from Mexico, but I figured they're not really fair to post here on a regular basis. Maybe I'll post some stuff from my trip to Arizona, see if Jesse Huffman will take a swing.
