alright, maybe you just didn't like that Tom said Acer negundo with a question mark.

cause you said no questions answered.

so: Acer negundo

I am ashamed of you, Ted. I was expecting something much more obscure. Like a PawPaw or a Franklinia. Boxelder. Sheesh.

I can't remember if I posted this one before, so if anyone feels like cheating, just go back a dozen or so pages and work your way forward; it might be in there.

i'm having a hard time seeing if compound or simple leaf.

the bark slightly looks like Pecan. Also the heavy hanging strong limbs, like pecan/hickory.

So I'll throw out Pecan for now.

That's what makes it so much FUN!

I did NOT get burned on the Boxelder. Ted was disengenuous with a boring TFOD offering, trying to make somethin' outta nuthin'. BTW, I WON that round! AND the one before!

...So I'm giving you an extra hard tree! Not U. americana. Could possibly be a Boxelder, though!

Hmmmmm.........

(Now Ted will probably get it, the bastid.)

I keep coming back to Ulmus sp. but none of the barks look right. I would have said Gymnocladus dioica but the twigs don't look stout enough.

Maybe Prunus serotina?

Anyone want to take a stab at this one?
