For you it would... actually for most folks it would. But for you, any guess is about as good as another.

Whats throwing me off is the adjacent trees without leaves.

It's not L. styraciflua. In fact, Sweetgum is way late compared to this tree, which is ahead of U. americana in the pic. Look at the top leaves, you'll get it.
