Trees from a distance

I had to steal this pic!!! This is one of my favorite species. There are some HUGE! specimens in my area, all those pics are trapped on my old comp.

Katsura trees are all around here. Some real big ones in the western part of the state around Stockbridge.....

just kidding. what makes Katsura your favorite specie? I don't know them and only seen one small one.

Yeah, that looks alot like a Tulip. Seems like too many leaders/limbs in there, though.

the new tree I posted is one of my favorites, not a Katsura.

The overhanging limbs on the right scream elm or silver maple, but the structure doesn't seem right for either. :shrug:

but that limb on the right hanging down doesn't make sense. the limb looks so much like a liriodendron.
