Trees from a distance

you got it tom! good job! here is the foliage as promised. i found this tree in WY on my road trip home from WI

As soon as I read Tom's guess, I figured it would be right. The way the leaves come off the branches was so familiar to me, but the size and bark color was throwing me off.

Elm on the right, silver maple on the left, but don't know that center tree.

something that leaves out early in the spring.

can't think of anything that fits it....
