Ah, yes this is so true. But with the weather being nicer the scene on the sidewalk can be absolutely needing my attention.

Spruce arms!!! Black sap smears and slashes from wrist to elbow.

And I bet I'm not the only one who almost subconsciously checks for good tie in points when passing large trees I'm never even gonna get to climb! I even do that when I'm watching a movie.

So much fun, so little time to have it in...
One time when we did a lot more spruce deadwooding than we do now, I showed up in short sleeves. Uh oh. It was a Norway spruce which are very rare here. My arms were bad enough after that.
I was so G-d*mned glad it wasn't a Colorado which it is 80 percent of the time.

Anyone here use arm chaps? Derail, I know...
