Tree walker technique

I am looking for an old post with a tree walker type technique using a flip line. It's where the guy walked up the tree using the flip line and adjust his friction hitch as he went. Any information would be great. If i remember correctly there was a video of it.
 
Because now it has an official name and an official video. That's the big deal. Kind of like naming a star after yourself or something important like that.

This is a great way to get into a tree provided the trunk is small enough to put your safety around.

It really does take the work out of getting up straight trunk trees!

Looks like allot of force put on your back. As hard as you have to push on the tree its going to convert as much energy on you lower back. With the legs being the biggest muscles in your body you would have to figure 200 pounds of pressure is being forced on your lower vertibre during the duration of the accent. No Thanks. I would rather footlock Thank You.
 
Starting from the ground and ascending great heights, that technique has limitations. In that type of situation, a footlock technique is much easier on the body and faster.

That technique is good for short distances only.

Like stated before, the technique now has a name.

I tried this technique the other day, and even though it was a little harder than the pantin, it didn't seem too bad. I only went about 40' up, but I used it since I had trouble getting a friction saver set with a bunch of little oak limbs in the way. With this method I didn't feel bad using a natural crotch to climb up since I really didn't have the rope running over the limb, except when I was taking slack out on the way up, but my body weight was still on the lanyard. After I got to the TIP I set the friction saver, did what I needed, and the descended.
