Tree preservation

I was wondering if anyone had a link to print information about tree welling. I have a customer that knows more than I do or the consulting arborist on staff.
The contractor needs to preserve the trees with wells around them. I would like the property owner to have some literature to reference and back up what we have presented.

here's the relevant section from the draft A300 standard:

87 Fill over root zones

87.1 Fill objectives shall be established prior to commencing the work.

87.1.1 Objectives should include but are not limited to one or more of the following:
 keeping fill as far from the trunk as possible
 avoiding any unnecessary compaction of fill during placement over rootzone
managing the necessary compaction of fill to minimize the effects on the roots below
 maintaining adequate water movement into the root zone
 maintaining adequate soil aeration in the root zone under the fill
