Could it be a Cinnamomum camphora?
Im at the botanical garden in Lisbon now and found some other ones like the one I saw yesterday.
The interspersed saumon leaves are amazing!!!

It looks different than camphor to me, but I'm in Florida. It may grow differently in Portugal. Crushing a leaf and smelling it will immediately let you know if it's camphor.

no garanties but Cinnamomum Camphora seems a lot like what you got...
just wait for flowering time so you can tell
