Tree ID recommendation please?

Can one of yous guys please /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif recommend a good/simple tree id book for this here newbie? I can't seem to find one that has pictures and descrips.

trees of north america and europe, roger phillips, Random house. (has a good key)

Native trees of canada (I know you arent in Canada but its a good book) RC Hosie, Fitzhenry and Whiteside (has no key but has good plates of buds and twigs etc)

Trees in canada (I know, I know but its a good one too) John Farrar, fitzhenry and whiteside. (has a good key)
 
National Audobon Society Trees of the Eastern Region North America $20. Great leaves, fruits, flowers, colors of leaves in fall, and very detailed descriptions. About 1000 pages half color, half black and white.
