Today....

That picture reminds me of the time I loaded my FiL's '69 GMC (6cyl 8' bed) with all the 16' 2x10s for the house I was building. I realised my mistake pretty quickly, but the yard had closed by the time I got back. That was one scary 25 mile trip.

Wiggled it over a little more, shifted rearward a little more, and drove down the mountains.

Exhaust brake comes in handy…

I did the estimated log weight calculator, What do yall think? Probably at least drive it over the scale tomorrow, maybe weigh the logs.
Guessing your payload is around 10 thou.

Are you milling those?

The front has leveling springs, rear springs i haven’t installed yet, and there’s a winch and tow boom in the bed…plus a little tongue heavy, but that trailer has to be or it’ll wag.

Those logs don’t look that big any more next to that Euc

Might mill but live oak cracks and checks real bad like Euc

Spruce removal in a tight spot. I don't typically have to do a lot of negative rigging around here because so often there's room to free fall stuff or other trees to rig off and people don't seem too persnickety about a little lawn damage, but I certainly had to chunk this one all the way down; not even room to fell the spar. Also had to hand carry everything around the corner of the house and up some stone steps to the driveway (well...my groundies did in any case). Views were definitely worth the effort!

The second photo is amazing…what a view! Love the spar shadow in the third one. Man, sometimes there are jobs against roofs where I’m just a little too close to the bathroom vent pipes. Blagh! Did you hop off the spar and onto the roof to clean anything off before getting below the drip edge?

Just had the blower sent up to hit the roof before dropping below it. Fortunately just a vacation home so no issue with the vent pipes :)
