You should look into the spikes that echo offers for that 2511 saw alternatively West coast saw has some as well but unless the saw is modified they are alittle to aggressive

An important, ergonomic improvement.
I need to get a second 1/4" drum. I've got the Stihl 1/4" b/c for my second. The Stihl dealer didn't know the number I needed.

Removed some girdling roots from one of our street trees here at the house. Norway Maple on the South side of our place that provides tons of great shade. Most of them were obvious but the last large one seems to have come out of the stem and then sent roots out away from the tree and around the stem in both directions. I could tell what was what based on the direction of the grain but I did a good bit of cutting on one root that probably could have just been removed partially. This tree hasn't shown any signs of distress yet so hopefully this will prevent it from meeting the same fate as so many other Norways. If anyone has any tips or sees anything obviously wrong please chip in.

My guess is that he's asking because you can have two Sycamore the same age and one will be twice the diameter of the other. We have blocks here in Detroit that were planted all with the same kind of tree like Gray Street on the East side which was all planted in Sycamore for the first couple blocks North of Jefferson. The difference in sizes and shapes is crazy and the conditions are the same. My neighbor has one about 85' tall but only 20" DBH and there are others nearly triple that diameter but 30' shorter in the same neighborhood.
The church organized in 1729. I assume perhaps the tree was planted then. Makes it close enough to 300 for me.
